After all these years I finally got to see one of my mother’s favorites, Wayne Newton. What an amazing carrier this man has had. His voice is not what it used to be but is still better than most and his fiddling is incredible. His beautiful wife joined him on stage for most of the show. He showed lots of video of him and some of the great entertainers. He told stories from his childhood and career. The show was called “Up Close and Personal” which described it perfectly. It was a nice intimate nightclub atmosphere at Ballys with less than 100 in the audience.
Afterwards we had to stop at Bellagio to see the Chinese New Year display at the Conservatory.
