2017-03-08: Las Vegas, NV – Martin Kaye Farewell Performance at The Space

Last night our friends Dianne & Burt Davis were able to get us an invite to see Martin Kaye’s Farewell performance at The Space.

Martin played the role of Jerry Lee Lewis in the award winning Million Dollar Quartet tour for 5 years.  He is now heading back to his native Great Britain.  As a thank you to Las Vegas, Kaye produced a farewell one-night-only show with many of his friends.

Special guests performing with Martin:
1 - Jamie Lynch (singer from Fantasy)
2 - Keith Thompson (piano – Jersey Boys director & Conductor)
3 - Robert Britton Lyons (Million Dollar Quartet as Carl Perkins)
4 - Joe Ferguson (Johnny Cash & Elvis)
5 - Mark D Donavan (harmonica – portrayed Sam Phillips in “Million Dollar Quartet”)
6 - Jolana Sampson (singer/songwriter and co-wrote Bright Side The Musical with Martin Kaye)
7 - Mark Shunock (owner of The Space and singer/actor played Lonny in Rock of Ages in Vegas and also Timon in The Lion King national tour)
8 - Phillip Fortenberry (featured as the hand-and-body piano double for Michael Douglas, who portrayed Liberace in Behind the Candelabra & was also was the featured artist-in residence at the Liberace Museum).

LoAnne McDonald, Martin Kaye, and me (notice his socks - he always plays in just his socks).
