4/20 - Happy Easter!
Today we drove out to hike Leprechaun Canyon. When we reached the first slot we discovered that only Jazzy could fit through.
Plus, their was a choke-stone in our path.
So up and over we went. Luckily it was not a very tall slot.
However we could tell from above that it was one of the tightest slots we had ever seen.
Then a little bit up the path we came to the main slot.
Unfortunately, it narrowed down as well and had water in the bottom.
Time to turn around and head back.
I wanted to see how far I could get coming from the other side of the smaller slot.
All of us on top again.
This was a branch off the main hike to a potential slot but it was so choked with boulders that we continued our journey back to the cars.
But before we did everyone but the photographer wanted to practice bridging - a way to climb through a slot if you can't fit down in the base.
First Jim -
I had to get a picture from below.
Then Jill -
Then Vaughan - nice form!
Along the way I always make friends.
At this point we parted company. Vaughan and I drove out to Angel Point and Jim & Jill went on to hike Wild Horse Window seeing they decided not to go with us yesterday.
There was still snow on the Henry Mountains.
Down a long washboard dirt road we finally got to the Angel Point Overlook.
Meanwhile, Jim & Jill went to Wild Horse Window.
Here are a few shots they took.
