2022 - West - May 11 - NM - Rockhound, Spring Canyon, & City of Rocks State Parks

 A day for rocks - perfect for a rockhound like me. We started out at Rockhound State Park and Spring Canyon in Deming, NM.  Found lots of red jasper and one large piece of rhyolite with a red jasper vein.  

Below is a large sample of red jasper running through it. (Yes, I'm a rock nerd.)
