A beautiful day for a drive.
Mount Lemmon, with a summit elevation of 9,159 feet, is the highest point in the Santa Catalina Mountains. It is located in the Coronado National Forest north of Tucson. The summit of the mountain is approximately twenty degrees cooler than the base. You start off at about 2,557 ft surrounded by saguaro cactus and mesquite trees and climb to pine trees, aspens, and cool air.
My ears were popping the entire way up. Driving on the side of cliffs seems to be a theme on all of Vaughan's adventures.
