Spring 2012: Sunday (4/1) – April Fools Day

It was a good day for Fools.  We went up to the Moab Rim Trail to watch fools try to climb the cliffs along side the Colorado.  Some managed great, one backed down after the first little grade, and another broke his drive shaft universal joint (like I know what that is).  Luckily he carried another with him.   It was fun to watch – from a distance.  You couldn’t pay me enough!   Another guy here in our RV park rolled his today.  Nobody was hurt – thank you roll bars.

There were 4 people that tried to go up on unicycles. They didn't get far and hiked up the rest of the way to ride down the other side.

Here is Vaughan standing at one of the steeper parts they climb.

This movie will show you how they crawl over things.

You have to realize this is only a few feet away from a very steep cliff with a 200+ foot drop to the road and river below.

Is this truly fun?

This guy didn't think it was as much fun - he is the one with the busted drive shaft.

Here is a view from the bottom.
