Spring 2012: Thursday (4/12) – Poison Spider

Vaughan decided to take a motorcycle ride up the Poison Spider Trail which begins with a rough mile-long climb over sand, cobbles, and rock ledges. Then comes the sand-traps and beyond that more slickrock ledges and more sand.  It started to sprinkle before he reached the mesa on top so he turned back.  I stayed down at the start of the trail and watched others make the climb.

This is one of the spots he had to climb - known as the "waterfall".
