Thursday was the beginning
of the Jeep Trade Show. This is where you can see hundreds of Jeeps all
in one place and hear hundreds of “How I flipped my Jeep” stories.
Everyone had great giveaways – t-shirts, hats, coozies, seat covers, DVDs, etc.
For the afternoon we took a drive back
up Kane Creek to the Pritchett Canyon Trail where all the major Jeeps go.
We walked back in the canyon about 2 miles and saw 2 crazy guys just racing
thru this one gnarly wash. As we were walking out the one guy had bent a
wheel and was hobbling out slowly.
We then stopped at Moonflower Canyon
to see some petroglyphs. There are many places around Moab that have
these.
Dinner (hot dogs, chips, and cake) was
provided by the Lions Club at the Jeep exhibit in town. They even had a
mini course for the toy crawlers that the kids (and men) just loved.
These are girly Jeeps - the window sticker says "Bad Ass Girls Drive Bad Ass Toys".
Vaughan said he could tell women parked these.
I don't think this will fit in our garage.
Our new home - this even has a small kitchen.
Pritchett Canyon Trail
This is one of the bumps in the road the Jeeps go over (no I'm not talking about Vaughan).
Here are the 2 guys that came screaming thru the canyon.
The guy in the white Jeep is the one that damaged his wheel.
Another climb in Pritchett Canyon - the "road" continues to the left around this rock formation.
These petroglyphs are in Moonflower Canyon.
You can see the bighorn sheep but what is that looking over them?
This is also in Moonflower Canyon.
You can climb up inside to the top if you're a size 2.
This is part of the mini radio control Jeep track they had set up at the Jeep exhibit.
Love that Moby camper and that Big jeep!
